ROBERT DARCH - Personal Work
Robert Darch is a British artist-photographer based in the Southwest of England. He has published and exhibited widely, and his photographs reside in public and private collections. Robert is an associate lecturer in Photography at Plymouth University. His practice is motivated by the experience of place, in which the physical geography and material cultures of places merge with impressions from contemporary culture that equally influence perception. From these varied sources, both real and imagined, he constructs narratives that help contextualise a personal response to place. Martin Parr acquired 39 of Robert’s photographs for inclusion in the Martin Parr Foundation archive.

ROD HIGGINSON - Brutalist Architecture
Brutalist architecture is a style that emerged in the 1950s and grew out of the early-20th century modernist movement. Brutalist buildings are characterised by their massive, monolithic, and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style and large-scale use of poured concrete. Rod Higginson, a highly respected monochrome photographer and long-standing member of the group brings his own unique style to this subject in the way he chooses to render his images, elevating them from the mundane to fine art. A prolific photographer, Rod’s work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally as well as across social media platforms.
