Seasons Greetings
We had a well supported year thank-you.
We look forward to seeing you all in February 2026.
ABOUT US
Somerset Monochrome Group of photographers is open to anyone living or working in the Southwest with an interest in the art and craft of monochrome photography.
The group meetings held Nr Ilminster in Somerset include specialist live lectures featuring regional or national monochrome work not usually available locally. We typically hold meetings six times a year, bi-monthly on a Saturday morning.
OUR NEXT MEETING
Saturday 7th February 2026 -Colin Trow-Poole FRPS, MPAGB, FIPF with Prints and Panels
Colin’s photography spans forty years, and his affection is for the simple distillation of images, particularly those with a strong narrative power. His strong subjects are often selectively composed, and with the sensitively use of lighting and tonal gradations, for a more evocative and thought-provoking final image. Colin will be presenting prints, including panels of work, some having been awarded distinctions at the RPS.
